The first cardboard holders for take-away glasses
In the modern world, every minute is valuable for each of us. Running on the way to work in a coffee shop and ordering coffee there "take-away" to yourself and your colleague, we are often offered to bring a holder for glasses.
Personally it seemed to me that this invention appeared not so long ago. And it appeared in connection with the rhythm of our life. What a surprise to me that these holders were already actively used in 1955. And the inventor of them was the company Robert Gair Company. By the way, the founder of this company, Robert Geir, is also the inventor of the first cardboard package.
However, there is one difference: in 1955 they were used to carry bottles, and now mostly tea or coffee.
Below are the samples of the first advertising posters of cardboard holders from their manufacturer.
